URBAN CONSCIENCE HOSTS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER – HAUTE FOR EDUCATION

1Fashion Designer Erin Murphy of EM Reservoir is not only founder of her own line, but also of a non-profit called Urban Conscience. Urban Conscience is an organization created to spread awareness to other young professionals that strive to make a conscious effort to better our environment and community around us. Each year, Urban Conscience hosts a designer silent auction at hair stylists Chrystoph Marten’s salon loft in Chelsea, to help benefit another organization. This year, the benefactor was Change for Kids; a program “that rallies our community to provide a broad range of essential educational opportunities at under-resourced public elementary schools.”

This “Haute” silent auction was filled with pieces from EM Reservoir, Vera Wang, Foley + Corinna, J Mendel, TM 1985 and much, much more. With the drinks flowing and people opening up their hearts (and wallets) Urban Conscience raised the most money from this specific event, ever. Plus, as an added bonus, Chrystoph donated 60% of any styling or haircut the week of the event to the charity.

Guests included, Dana Faith of Dana Faith Jewelry, Jessica Wu, Designers from Vera Wang, Bloomies Buyers, and Francisca Pineda of Bhava Shoes.
