MANOLO BLAHNIK X RIHANNA LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION

Manolo Blahnik and one of the hardest working women seen in the public eye today, Rihanna, announce their first shoe collaboration. Set to hit three store locations May 5, 2016 worldwide in London, New York, and Hong Kong, this limited edition collection will feature six styles. Designed personally by the creative duo, each pair reflects Manolo Blahnik’s incomparable vision with Rihanna’s innate aesthetic, resulting in a structurally curated line of striking yet daring heels.

“This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results – working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results – I think everyone is going to love what they are about to see,” says Mr. Blahnik.MANOLO-RIHANNA_byDennis-Leupold

The shoes are patterned in denim, and adorned in sequins and artisanal embroidery coined from Riri’s infamous hand tattoos. The Spring 2016 capsule collection’s  most jaw dropping piece would have to be the ‘9 to 5’ Boot, that is definitely not a normal 9-5 work appropriate pair (for those who were getting any ideas). Imagine denim, stiletto cowboy chaps with a jeweled belt. [Pictured below] These boots scream sexy time. Honestly, I don’t know where else you are wearing them but in the bedroom – no joke. Or with extreme high-low sheer or netted dress shirt with high-waisted panties. Or penguin tailed white tuxedo jacket, pasties, with sparkly white mid-rise undies (or nix the pasties and undies and replace with bustier bodysuit).Rihanna-Vogue-UK-April-2016-Photo

“Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble,” Rihanna says on the ‘9 to 5’ Boot.

All styles in the collection harness a short run time, and with Rihanna’s history on sales… you will probably have hours… maybe a day! Prices will range from $895 to $3995, so save your coinage. I’ve already set up my “Rihanna Blahnik Fund”. Hopefully, there are no surprises along the way. ::fingers crossed::
