THE RECORDING ACADEMY LAUNCHES GRAMMY LABEL

The Recording Academy Launches GRAMMY Label?! Yes… that is correct. The movers and shakers of all things music are dabbling in the fashion world. It’s no surprise either as music and fashion have gone hand in hand, since, well, since forever.

“Together with The Recording Academy, our vision was to develop a collection that was in line with the creative process of making music,” said GRAMMY Label Creative Director, Caroline Rothwell. “This is not a promotional line. This is a style that is truly inspired by musicians.”

This season, GRAMMY Label debut collection will feature graphic tees and tanks for men and women available in cotton blends in variable washes to hand dyed tanks – so no musician will feel left out, stylistically. Plus, partial proceeds of the collection will ensure that The Recording Academy is able to continue donating instruments to GRAMMY Camp. GRAMMY Camp is summer program that brings together young music students with music professionals.

“In launching GRAMMY Label, The Academy can expand our philanthropic efforts by marrying music with fashion, and we can do so by delivering a line that encompasses all types of music for every fan universally,” said Evan Greene, Chief Marketing Officer of The Recording Academy.

Hmmm… I wonder if any artists will be walking the red carpet in a GRAMMY Label tee on February 10th?
