THANKFUL THURSDAY | S’WELL BOTTLE X KEEP A CHILD

S’well launched an initiative in 2010 to rid the world of plastic bottles. Over time, water companies have started using less plastic in creating there bottles, but it doesn’t take away from how sustainable reusable containers will always trump the excessive use of plastic. S’well bottles keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12, while giving back one bottle at a time. Though they haven’t landed in everyone’s hand, they’ve aligned with so many organizations, it seems they have a new project every month.

Every month of December, the world focuses on AIDs Awareness continually in search to find a cure for a disease that takes the life of more people than we’d like to admit. And in honor or fighting the good fight and spreading the word, S’well collaborated with KCA – Keep A Child Alive, an organization that provides treatment, food and orphan care to those affected by HIV/AIDS in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India.S

Leigh Blake, founder of KCA, collaborated with several artists including international actress and activist Padma Lakshmi, and singer and Global Ambassador, Alicia Keys. For the remainder of the month and hopefully afterwards, S’well will be selling their KCA bottle.

And for those who other causes are closer to their heart than HIV/AIDS, please check out theS’well website for how you can give back through the purchase of a bottle that fights your fight.
