SUMMER STYLES: TRENDLAND X REKORDERLIG

Have you ever heard of Rekorderlig Cider? I first discovered it sometime last year when they were launching stateside. It was paired with light Swedish fare that allowed you to really taste the flavor of the cider rather than overpowering it. So this Summer Styles we celebrate the collaborative effort honoring the Swedish Midsummer – which I’m not exactly sure what it is, but it seems to be a large part of their culture. I’ve attended a few events focusing on what and how Swedes ring in the summer season with some events paying tribute to notable artists, while others focused on natives gathering around traditional food and drinks and dancing.3_Bottle_Lock-up_USA_Blended-sml_10cm

All about Rekorderlig Cider and Trendland’s  ‘Beautifully Swedish’ – a series profiling Sweden’s most influential contemporary trailblazers, including Chef Fredrik Berselius, Art Director and Designer Elle Kunnos De Voss, Photographer Carl Kliner, Interior Architect and Blogger Emma Fexeus, Founder and Creative Director of Austere Fredrik Carlstrom, Industrial Designer and Architect Lukas Dahlen, and Photographer Agnes Thor. By showcasing their successes through imagery, Rekorderlig pays homage to all that is Sweden, like they do by still brewing at Åbro Bryggeri in Vimmerby.

Rekorderlig Cider is currently available at select locales throughout the country in Strawberry-Lime, Pear and Wild Berries (my favorite!). First launched in 1999, Rekorderlig can now be found in several hotspots throughout the city including Crosby Street Hotel, Spritzenhaus 33, and Berry Park. And because we know you want to get in on the festivities, like catching a glimpse of the Woodstock VW Van, make sure to check them out online to see where you’ll find them celebrating next.
