RIDING IN STYLE WITH UBER

In an unknown city no one wants to stick out like a sore thumb and not take public transport, but not all railway systems are easy to comprehend. Especially in Toronto. So for my recent trip, I used Uber everywhere I went. It was the easiest, most convenient way of traveling. And because your card is attached to your account, you’re billed at the end of your ride and a receipt is sent directly to you email.

Currently in over 30 cities worldwide, and growing, Uber ultimately turns out to be safer and more efficient than just hailing a cab in the neighborhood.

How Uber works –
1. Request a ride at any time using our iPhone and Android apps, by texting (for US and Canada only) or from m.uber.com – this address works on computers as well. On the iPhone and Android apps, set your pickup location on the map. On m.uber.com, type your address. In the US and Canada, text an address and city to 827-222.
2.  Uber will then dispatch the nearest driver to pick you up. You’ll also receive a text with the estimated arrival time as well as another text when the car arrives. Remember, you have a choice of taxi, sedan, and SUV which does alter the cost dependent on choice.
3. Once at your destination, Uber will automatically charge the card on file. Plus you will have the opportunity to rate your driver. Please be honest, this will ultimately relay to Uber how their drivers and services are really doing.

That’s it! Simple, environmentally friendly (no paper waste), and oh so chic. And for our amazing Toronto bound readers and Toronto residences who’ve never used Uber before, we’ve got a treat for you. Use the code “STYLECARTELTO” for $20 CAD off your first ride. Especially with many summer festivities occurring, like Toronto Pride, Uber is always a reliable source to take you to and fro, wherever you go.
