Patricia Field presents Scooter LaForge “#WEARARTNOTJUNK” an “Exhibition of Art in Fashion” at her flagship store. This exhibition plays many roles as New York City based artist Scooter LaForge will debut one-of-a-kind works in fashion exclusively at the Patricia Field Flagship location. At the same time, Field celebrates her relationship with Scooter, as a talented artist, friend and family of the House of Field while the exhibition showcases her longtime support ofChildren of Armenia Fund (COAF).
As one who has a close tie with the arts and seen the impact selfless charity has on children especially, it’s astonishing to see communities with overflowing access of wealth and power, sit back and do nothing. Unlike many other benefit projects, 100% of proceeds from the sale of customized Dr Martens, at the event, goes to the 5013c New York City-based non-profit. COAF uses community-led approaches to reduce poverty and secure a future for children in Armenia. In partnership with Perrier and Dr Martens, Fields has set up a colorful graffiti station in the House of Field shoppe for party guests to customize their pair to their choosing. Scooter will then add his finishing touches to your creation, making them a [INSERT NAME HERE] x LaForge original. What a wonderful present that would be, non?
For those who are interested in attending, le soiree takes place this Saturday, October 17th from 7PM – 9PM at House of Field, 306 Bowery in NYC.
Can’t make it to the party? Not a problem. Fully customized pairs by Scooter LaForge will sell online the following week for $200 with 100% of proceeds going to Children of Armenia Fund (COAF).
