Nicola Formichetti Could Judge Your Pepsi Can Design!

I find inspiration around me constantly, particularly by the borderless world of design. From fashion and architecture to products and brands, design can be found in many mediums and created by individuals of all talents.

Have you ever wanted to walk down the street and see a gaggle of people drinking, eating, sharing something you’ve designed, and they not even know it? That dream can become reality with the latest #PEPSICHALLENGE.

As a part of the 2015 #PepsiChallenge series, there’ve a been a few thus far, consumers (me and you) will have this once in a lifetime opportunity to recreate the famous Pepsi can. The can that has been made iconic by the Spice Girls Generation Next campaign, the Beyoncé, P!NK, Britney Spears, and Enrique Iglesias commercial, and of course the Michael Jackson x Pepsi history. It’s your turn to envision something that speaks to this generation of creative design through this “Live For Now” Design Challenge.

Headed by #PepsiChallenge global ambassador and fashion designer Nicola Formichetti, the challenge starts off with a design from Formichetti showcasing his Nicopanda signature – serving as inspiration to where creators can take their own imagination. In a sense it will be a blank canvas (the Pepsi can) and an intact spot (the logo) for you to work around.

When does it start? T-O-D-A-Y, Today! Today until May 13th submissions from all over the world will be accepted on www.PepsiChallenge.com, with one (1) winning designer. The winner will experience the PepsiCo Design & Innovation Center in New York City and work alongside PepsiCo’s lead design team. Top entries will be judged by Formichetti, PepsiCo’s SVP and Chief Design Officer Mauro Porcini, Creative Director Marcelo Burlon, Chairman and Co-Founder of Italia Independent Lapo Elkann, Designer Karim Rashid, and Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia Franca Sozzani. In other words, you should stop reading this and start creating!
