Mark your calendars, save the date, do whatever you do to remember March 18th. Why? Well the non-profit Meatpacking District Improvement Association (MPIA) will be hosting their first annual fundraiser, OPEN MARKET. It’s a shopping, dining and music event at Highline Stagespromoting the Meatpacking District and why we love it so much. There will be sample sales, drinking (who doesn’t love a little cocktail while shopping?!), and music by The Misshapes, JD Samson of Le Tigre and more.

Co-chaired by Diane von Furstenberg and Andrew Rosen this event’s host committee includes some of New York’s most influential people  –  Olivier Theyskens, Tory Burch, David Lemmond (The Standard, High Line), Celeste Fierro (The One Group),  Jason Binn (DuJour Media) and Annie Washburn (NYC Wine & Food Festival), just to literally name a few.

“We are thrilled that so many of our friends have gathered together to help host the first annual OPEN MARKET to support MPIA’s efforts through a fundraiser that will undoubtedly become one of the most anticipated events of the year,” said Lauren Danziger, Executive Director of Meatpacking District Improvement Association.

So join us on March 18th to support the MPIA.  100% of the proceeds from OPEN MARKET will go to the MPIA’s continuing efforts to improve the neighborhood through public initiatives.
