MARY KATRANTZOU S/S 2013 RUNWAY REPORT

Mary-Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou’s Spring/Summer 2013 continues to showcase this young yet amazingly talented designer’s ability to reinterpret prints with precision. Stamps, banknotes and floral were the prints of choice and with the use of backdrop colors – varying from white to pastel pinks and yellows – linear shape and volume Katrantzou drew us into her collection. The collection featured tailored-cut printed jeans created in collaboration with Current Elliott as part of a capsule collection to trapeze dresses decorated with piping and paneling and even some spectacular evening gowns with Swarovski crystal appliqué created using a printed glass technique and fused with silk brocade.
