LANA DEL REY X H&M FALL CAMPAIGN LAUNCH PARTY

Lana Del Rey has been a name fluttering around the music scene for some time. Its name was always pinpointed with a face but never a sound – until recently. This past Wednesday, H&M hosted a private concert by Lana Del Rey to launch their Fall campaign. Perfectly placed at The Wooly, a downtown New York hotspot, droves of Lana lovers filled the three rooms sectioned off for this very event filled with people like Robert Verdi, Prabal Gurung, Barbara Bush, Christian Siriano, Timo Weiland, Leandra Medine and more.

Sadly, there were no pieces from this campaign advertised around the venue; it was quite enjoyable hearing the whispers of excitement leading up to hearing Lana. And, boy, was the suspense well worth it. Performing only four songs, Del Rey serenaded the crowd, in her Ferragamo wedges, with the cover of Blue Velvet, which is the featured track in H&M’s fall fashion campaign video, as well as Blue Jeans (my favorite after National Anthem from her sophomore album Born to Die).

Though her set quickly ended, the party went on as the drinks continued to pour.
